From Edinburgh there are different options for onward travel to St Andrews:

By Train

There is no railway station in St Andrews. However, the nearest railway station to St Andrews is Leuchars only 5 miles from St Andrews, on the main line from London King’s Cross via Edinburgh, or Aberdeen. From Leuchars, there is an excellent taxi service and a frequent local bus service (see below).

From Leuchars, St Andrews may be reached by car, taxi or by service bus (2 to 3 buses per hour between 9am and 6pm, and less frequently at other times – see Bus timetables for details).
